Jung Prize for Medicine
The Jung Prize for Medicine, currently worth 300,000 euros, is one of the most highly endowed medical prizes in Europe. The prize recognizes researchers and their projects that have made a significant contribution to the advancement of human medicine and are expected to continue to do so in the future.
Candidates for the prize are nominated; it is not possible to apply independently. The Foundation's Board of Trustees focuses on work that is of particular clinical relevance and is expected to lead to new and effective therapeutic approaches. The University Executive Boards of the universities, among others, are entitled to nominate candidates. The following are required for online submission
- A sentence explaining why the nominee should receive the award (max. 30 words),
- A summary of the nominee's achievements and what they mean for the field,
- clinical significance of the achievements,
- List of 6 key publications,
- complete CV of the nominee(s) including the most important awards.
Nominations will be accepted by the Rector's Office (deadline for submission to the Rector's Office: March 28, 2025 to Mandy Dziubanek, Office of the Rector/Academic Committees, e-mail
