DigitalHerrnhut focuses on the (continued) development and internationalization of innovative virtual and hybrid options for teaching and holding courses. Specifically, in connection with DigitaLiS, small modular curricula are made suitable for virtual teaching and integrated into the overall curriculum of the Master’s degree program “Digital Humanities” with international partners (e.g. Bucknell University in Pennsylvania). DigitalHerrnhut involves innovative expansion through virtual excursions, workshops and conferences with the inclusion of culturally relevant towns in Eastern Saxony (Herrnhut/Berthelsdorf, Kleinwelka, Niesky). Technologies including virtual reality and alternate reality are used in this context. The project receives support from the SLUB library.
