Election notice for the election of the Doctoral Council 2025/26
From 11 to 13 June 2025, the TU Dresden Doctoral Council will be elected to represent all doctoral candidates at TU Dresden. The term of office for the 2025/26 election period is 18 months, subject to an amendment to the rules of procedure of the Doctoral Council. The elections are free, equal and secret on the basis of the TU Dresden election regulations of 27 September 2024 (published in the official announcements of the TUD No. 10/2024 of 07.10.2024, p.2).
All doctoral candidates accepted for doctoral studies at TU Dresden elect up to seventeen representatives from their ranks, who form the Doctoral Council and, if possible, broadly cover the spectrum of disciplines at TU Dresden. In order to exercise the right to vote, a valid ZIH user name must be deposited in Promovendus by 19 May 2025 at the latest (the day the electoral register closes).
The election is led by the Vice-Rector Research and conducted by the Election Committee. The following doctoral candidates are members of this committee:

All doctoral candidates who wish to run for the new Doctoral Council can submit a election proposal until 12 May 2025. Please use the digital form and send it completed and digitally signed to .
After each nomination has been reviewed by the election committee, the approved nominations will be published on the Graduate Academy website by 28 May 2025. Only nominations submitted by the deadline can be considered.
From 12 to 18 May 2025, the electoral register will be available for inspection in the office of the election officer. The electoral roll will be closed on 19 May, 2025.
The election will take place online from 11 June 2025, 11 a.m. to 13 June 2025, 4 p.m. using the POLYAS voting software. Voting will be possible via the ZIH user account in the TU Dresden self-service portal. All eligible voters will receive an email with detailed information on online voting by 11 a.m. on 11 June 2025.

*If you are an accepted doctoral candidate at TU Dresden, please check whether you can log in to Promovendus with your ZIH user name and whether the user name is valid until the election date (11 June 2025 to 13 June 2025). Otherwise, please communicate your current ZIH username to by 19 May 2025 at the latest (date of closing of the electoral register). If you do not currently have a valid ZIH user name or if it expires by the time of the election, you are entitled to receive a guest login. For this purpose, you need an invitation form a contact person (usually the main supervisor of the doctorate – please contact him or her). In this case, please also communicate your user name to by 19 May 2025.
