Physical health

To ensure that everyone can work and study in a healthy and risk-free environment, TU Dresden offers comprehensive advice and support services. In addition to the prevention of work-related health problems and occupational illnesses, the focus is on promoting personal health and healthy teamwork.

Mental health

We have a wide range of mental health services designed to offer our staff help and support in difficult times, including programs which promote well-being. We attach great importance to preventative measures such as mindfulness and stress reduction. We also provide confidential sessions where individual health problems such as sleep disorders, addiction, anxiety or depression can be discussed.

Social health

Diversity, family-friendliness, accessibility and inclusion aren't just buzzwords for us – they are essential values of our university culture. This is why health management at TU Dresden also offers services designed to promote social interaction, improve everyday working life, and increase the well-being of all staff members. Because social life also plays a decisive role in a holistic approach to health.

Health at work

To ensure healthy working conditions, we focus on promoting occupational health and safety as well as environmental protection. This includes accessible and environmentally friendly campus design as well as the workspaces themselves. A healthy working environment also includes equal opportunities, a good work-life balance, healthy leadership and appreciation for everyone.
In addition to these framework conditions, TU Dresden provides numerous services in physical, mental and social health that can be used by all our members to promote health and prevent illness.

Concept

Occupational health and safety in Germany and the cooperation between the stakeholders are anchored and defined in numerous laws, regulations and ordinances. Comprehensive occupational health and safety measures are taken to integrate and ensure the participation of people with disabilities at TU Dresden, in particular to make workplaces and the working environment barrier-free. In the context of the reintegration of employees with long-term or recurrent illnesses, TUD has agreed on a standardized procedure together with its interest groups.
