Dresden-Düsseldorf Talks with Prof. Dr. Simone Lässig on 27.01. in the Klemperer Hall of the SLUB
On January 27, 7 pm, we welcome Prof. Dr. Simone Lässig to the Dresden-Düsseldorf Talks on History and the Present in the Klemperer Hall of the SLUB.
Simone Lässig is Chair of Modern and Contemporary History at the TU Braunschweig. She was Director of the German Historical Institute (GHI) Washington from 2015-2025, where she developed core research areas on the history of knowledge, the history of migration and mobility and digital history.
In this format, Dagmar Ellerbrock (Chair of Modern and Contemporary History, TU Dresden) and Heiner Fangerau (Chair of History, Theory and Ethics of Medicine, HHU Düsseldorf) jointly welcome a historian who has made a name for themselves with their ideas, approaches and interpretations. Based on the personal biography and their scientific contributions, we will discuss the social significance of history and historical science.
