This year, TU Dresden is once again announcing the Internationalization Award. This year's call for entries aims to honor the people and initiatives within TU Dresden whose commitment make a valuable and sustainable contribution to the internationalization of our university. The award is also intended to help make the diversity of commitment to internationalization known to all TU members. They should be encouraged to incorporate and expand the internationalization of our university in their own work as internationalization can’t be taken for granted to work on its own but requires committed actors.

This prize is endowed with a total of 6,000 EUR, funded within the framework of the Excellence Strategy of the federal and state governments. All members of the TU Dresden are eligible to apply for funding, even if they apply on behalf of a group, a joint activity or initiative, as well as the StuRa, student councils and university groups.

The call for entries will be accompanied by a social media campaign in June, which will present the winners of the previous year. In 2020, the Internationalization Award was announced for the first time with a focus on special commitment to a culture of welcome. A total of 25 initiatives showed in their applications how they are committed to a cosmopolitan and international campus at TU Dresden. The four award winners will now have the opportunity to present their projects to a wider TU public and will report on the impact the Corona pandemic has had on their work.
