Associations talk on the topic „Wann ist Integration erfolgreich?“
The integration report of the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, Equality and Integration Division, was presented to 150 stakeholders in integration work in Saxony at the 8th meeting of associations last Wednesday. Integration Minister Petra Köpping emphasised: "Integration policy needs statements on how integration processes take place and which measures support the integration of people with a migration background. For us, this means that we want to establish a monitoring system to obtain precisely these statements on a data basis".
In addition to the current key data report and the integration monitoring of the federal states, the integration barometer of the Expert Council of German Foundations for Integration and Migration was presented by Dr. Cornelia Schu. Dr. Noa K. Ha from the Centre for Integration Studies at the TU Dresden dealt with the requirements of successful integration research in her presentation: "In order to do justice to the complexity of integration processes - and also to the social challenges - integration research needs a process orientation that can develop qualitative and quantitative research approaches and relate them to each other".
At a workshop led by the Centre for Integration Studies, indicators of successful integration were discussed with experts from practice and politics.
