Publication of the fifth volume of the series 'Praxismaterialien des Zentrums für Integrationsstudien'
At the beginning of May, the fifth part of the series 'Praxismaterialien des Zentrums für Integrationsstudien' was published under the title "UNTERRICHTSEINHEITEN zur Entwicklung von Achtsamkeit und Mitgefühl (ab Klasse 9)". The series brings together contributions in the context of the application-oriented mediation of research, teaching and event projects of the Centre for Integration Studies, partly also in cooperation with practice partners. The latest volume by the author Tatini Petra Schmidt deals with the topic of mindfulness, which is increasingly found in the educational landscape as a concept, attitude and method and whose potential is being used by more and more teachers for their own self-regulation, interaction within the teaching staff and lesson design. Two series of exercises, each with eight teaching units, are presented, which were developed and successfully implemented at two schools in North Rhine-Westphalia with various mindfulness-trained teachers and school classes at levels 9 and 10, as well as at two school classes at a vocational college. Each teaching unit contains an introductory impulse, mindfulness and compassion exercises, reflection units, a contextual embedding and an integrative exercise for home.
