English-German Language Café – Meet, Listen, Speak
Join the Language Café and meet German and English speakers!
Students from the UK’s Open University meet online with TUD staff and students to discuss interesting topics in a relaxed atmosphere. The meetings are moderated and held in both languages. The focus is on conversation—language and culture are meant to be experienced and discussed together. The virtual meetings are designed to:
• exchange ideas on diverse and interesting topics
• practice oral language skills and speaking freely
• engage in discussions in small groups and as a whole group
Who is it for?
--> Advanced English learners (minimum B2 level) with very good German skills (minimum C1 level)
Topic: Economy and Sustainability: Workplace, working conditions, the role of works councils and unions, changes in the industrial landscape, the conflict between economy and ecology, etc.
How?

After registering, you will receive the access code for the virtual language café via email.
Sprint Certificate
Participation in the language café can be counted toward the Sprint Certificate as a module component equivalent to 16 teaching units, comparable to the language learning app for the “Language Expertise” and “Excellence - Language and Cultural Expertise” certificates.
