The Faculty Board is the central decision-making organ at the faculty with the dean as its chairperson. 

The Faculty Board of the Faculty of Education consists of 12 elected members. (election period 2018-2021)

Timetable of Board Meetings:

The meetings are usually starting at 13:15 at the third Wednesday of the month. By now the meetings are held digitally. Normally thes are starting with a public discussion. Protocolls are available here

Contributions for the agenda have to be submitted latest one week before the next meeting at the deans office.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The following tasks are done by the Faculty Board according to  §88  SächsHSFG.

(1) The Faculty Boad is responsible for topics regarding the faculty. Those are amongst others:

• Decree of study and examination regulations
• Decree of doctoral/PhD degree regulations
• Proposals for seting up, canceling and changing study programs
• Coordination of research projects
• Proposals for goals agreed on with the University Executive Board
• Publishing opinions on goals set up by the States Ministry for Science and Arts
• ensuring the lectural offers and coordination of study offers according to the developement plan of the faculty
• Evaluation process according to § 9
• Proposals for setting up plans on structure and developement of the faculty
• Coworking on the draft for economic plans of the university
• Opinions on the usage of finances and jobs 
• Execution of academic advisory service
• Setting up appointment commissions and proposals on the functional description of university teaching positions
