The Institute of Vocational Education and Vocational Didactics is part of the Faculty of Education at Dresden University of Technology. The history of the Institute goes back to the founding of the Institute of Education at Dresden University of Technology in 1924. Today, the Institute is home to a large number of scientific areas, such as the Chair of Construction Wood and Paint Technology and Interior Design/Vocational Didactics, the Chair of Educational Technology, the Chair of Vocational Education, the Chair of Nutritional and Household Sciences and the Didactics of the Vocational Field, the Chair of Adult Education, the Chair of Vocational Design/Vocational Didactics and the Chair of Health and Care/Vocational Education.
