Student teachers and young researchers from teacher training programs present their results Teachers from all over Saxony - DIAlogisch 2.0!

DIAlogical! -the exchange format for vocational schools - entered its second round on 27.05.2024. Three different areas of vocational education were represented at this year's event: the Chair of Health and Nursing, the Chair of Social Pedagogy and the Chair of Vocational Education.

As the title suggests, there was once again a lot of DISCUSSION, INFORMATION and EXCHANGE. After an opening presentation in which Professor Abele outlined some important points on the professionalization of teachers at vocational schools, nine students of Teacher Training - Vocational Schools and young researchers from TUD gave the almost 40 participating teachers and school principals insights into their state examination theses and research work.

The topics included:

• current research results, e.g. in the areas of reading scientific texts and fever management in children, but also about
• models for lesson planning and dealing with heterogeneity as well as
• practical teaching impulses, for example in the area of new media and the use of VR glasses and social media in the classroom and, finally, visions and impulses for future learning.
• visions and impulses for future learning scenarios.

Possible applications and consequences for practice were then discussed together. In an exchange round, the participants, who had traveled from all over Saxony, had the opportunity to think further about impulses from the contributions and to develop further ideas for good vocational training in an exchange. It was interesting that a central question emerged at all three themed tables, which was discussed from the specialist perspectives: How can change processes in schools be initiated, supported and developed sustainably?

In addition to the lively exchange on theory and practice, the event also offered plenty of space for networking between teachers, TU Dresden staff and students.
