CLOU - Future cluster for innovative vocational training

The project focuses on increasing the attractiveness, quality and equivalence of initial and continuing vocational education and training (up to DQR-7). Based on an analysis of potential, the testing, evaluation and transfer of industry-related qualification offers for horizontal and vertical higher vocational qualification and the promotion of reciprocal permeability of vocational and higher education in cooperation with companies, research institutions, vocational training colleges and industry-related training academies will take place.
The innovative approach of CLOU for laboratory and operator occupations and within the framework of initial vocational training is supplemented by the creation of adaptive qualification structures within the framework of cooperation between all learning venues and by the structured qualification of company training and further training personnel. The CLOU network structures and educational offerings will be anchored through the establishment of three centers of excellence for vocational training in Dresden, Berlin and Schkopau.
The development of excellent learning locations is achieved through the use of digital teaching and learning arrangements, among other things, and is based on the recording of companies' training needs. The Future Cluster for Innovative Vocational Training (CLOU) brings together three inter-company training locations in the chemical industry in eastern Germany and six other network partners.
