Note on the 2024 university elections

The following will be elected for the 2024 university elections

• all voting members of the Senate,
• all voting members of the Extended Senate,
• all voting members of the Faculty Boards,
• all voting members of the School Committees,
• all voting members of the Scientific Councils of the CMCB and IHI Zittau and
• the 28 equal opportunities officers of the faculties, departments and institutions and their deputies.

All approx. 40,000 TUD members entitled to vote - both students and employees - are called upon to vote. For example, the employees of the Central University Administration only elect their representatives to the Senate and the Extended Senate every five years.

Nominations
428 positions are to be filled. At least 428 candidates are sought. The deadline for submitting election proposals is Friday, November 8, 2024, 4 p.m. The forms available for download at the following link and at www.tu-dresden.de/uniwahlen can be used to submit election proposals:

• Employee nomination form
• Student nomination form

The approved nominations will be announced by circular mail and at www.tu-dresden.de/uniwahlen .

Voting
Employees
Voting for employees will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, and Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Students
Voting for students will take place from Tuesday, December 10 to Thursday, December 12, 2024.

Postal voting
In addition to voting at the ballot box, postal voting is also permitted (§ 12 of the TU Dresden election regulations). The application for postal voting can only be made via the electronic application form in the TU Dresden self-service portal and via the following link: https: //selfservice.tu-dresden.de/services/postal-vote/votes/requests/
