Internship

According to §100 of the Teacher Examination Regulations (LAPO) I, admission to the First State Examination requires proof of a professional internship of at least twelve months or a completed professional training related to the subject area.

Up to six months will also be credited towards the professional internship:

• Relevant practical semesters at universities of applied sciences or comparable institutions, provided that no change of subject was made in the teacher training course,
• other relevant professional activities and
• schooling at a relevant vocational grammar school if the general higher education entrance qualification has been achieved.

Work placement regulations

The work placement regulations, as of June 2017, are valid for students until the winter semester 2022/23.

From October 2022, the new and revised intern ship regulations for the first vocational Department of Health and Nursing (as of June 2022) will apply.
