FIRST SEMESTER INFORMATION
ANNOUNCEMENT:
The first semester kick-off event will take place on October 08, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., in room WEB 136.
Welcome to the first semester of the subject Economy, Technology and Household/Social Affairs (WTH/S)!
Please enrol in the WTH/S students course first.
To view the timetable for the winter semester, please follow this link, which will also take you to the Opal learning platform.
On the learning platform, you will find all courses of the subject WTH/S via this link .
You can also register for individual courses there.
Enrolment in all WTH/S courses and thus in the Opal courses begins on 30.09.2024 at 9.00 am.
To log in to Opal, you need a ZIH user login.
You will find all information about the setup on a letter that you received by post with your enrollment documents and under this link.
You will also need the login to access all ZIH (Center for Information Services and High Performance Computing) resources :
- use of the ZIH PC pools, the central login server, the campus network and the Internet
- a personal mailbox, a personal home directory including storage space
- Connection to the Internet by dialing into the TU campus network (WLAN, possibility of encrypted access using VPN technologies)

The three-week first semester events for student teachers start again on 16.09. This winter semester, these include the creation of your own timetable by the tutors of the Teacher Training Office, digitally and on site, campus tours and the new format "How To Study", which provides tips and tricks on how to organize your studies, the TU Dresden online portals and everyday study life. Attention !!! There are new study regulations that came into force in the winter semester 2023/24.
