Scientific work in educational science with a focus on primary school education
We are happy to support students who would like to write their academic paper (so-called (state) examination paper) in primary school education. We are happy to receive requests for support with a specific topic suggestion (see notes on choosing a topic) as follows.
We recommend selecting a topic that was dealt with in the courses for modules P1, P2 or P3 and for which you have a corresponding initial selection of literature. We are happy to supervise work that can be assigned to one of the topics listed:
- Heterogeneity in elementary school (e.g. gender, special support needs)
- Social inequality in elementary school
- Performance assessment and evaluation
- Transitions in elementary school (daycare center, secondary school)
- Pedagogical observation
- Mixed year group learning
- Pupil cooperation in schools and lessons
- Professionalization (especially in relation to practical school exercises)
- Non-verbal communication
- Open and open lessons
- Differentiation and individualization
- Reform pedagogical approaches
- Child endangerment and child protection
- Parent work and communication with parents
- Learning workshop work
- Promoting resilience in the school context
- Development of drawing skills in childhood (WF Art / Nicole Perovic)

We will be happy to accept you for the supervision of your academic work (thesis) on the basis of your letter of motivation (max. 2 pages).
This should include:
1. name, matriculation number, e-mail address,
2. brief description and explanation of the subject area you wish to write about,
3. seminars you may have attended and literature you have read and want to read on the subject.
