Belma Bilir
My name is Belma Bilir. I will tell you why I became an education and inclusion expert. I became an education expert because I wanted to change something in society. Why? - Because I want to try something new. I am unique because I see things from a different perspective. My motivation is that I can do many things and I am very adaptable. I had a goal to do something like that. I am driven by the fact that I have become brave and can contribute something about inclusion, because inclusion is where everyone can participate. To change something, we need time. I am an education and inclusion expert because I enjoy being able to talk to people and I also enjoy learning and researching and discovering. I am very helpful. My hobbies are: Painting, singing, dancing. I also have many ideas. You can discover a lot about me because I have hidden talents. I can also be surprising, like a lucky bag where you never know what's inside. I'm also responsible for our podcast because I had the idea to record all the things we say in a podcast. I am a nice person.
Mara Fink
My name is Mara Fink, I am 28 years old and live in Bannewitz. I live with my parents and my two brothers. When I was a child, I noticed my disability when my mum told me about my birth. And even when I hold something in my hand, sometimes my hand shakes. I feel a little bit scared. Sometimes I ask twice. I can recite poems well, act very well and tell stories about Mozart very well. I like to look after my rabbits and when I am allowed to help with the cooking. I dream of living by the sea one day. Becoming an actress is also a big dream. It would be nice if I could move around freely without help, without my parents and without my brothers. After all, we do this thing here so we're not behind the scenes. Sometimes I still feel like I'm behind the scenes when I can't get a word in edgewise. I don't like it when someone interrupts without asking. I'm very happy when people ask me questions and want to hear what I have to say. I also like to explain things to students, I like that because I like to talk and am interested in what people think. I also like to ask questions, I'm very good at that too. In the QuaBIS project, I like that we support each other and help each other, if I have difficulties, I clarify them. I also like that I have a sitting ball at work, because I like to move. I also like that I can raise and lower my desk, because then I can work standing up. Sometimes I can't even believe myself what I can do.
Thomas Gasch
I am Thomas (Gasch). At school I was always Gaschi, then I called myself gamaT and at some point I was called 'Gaschmaschine'. At first, my main reason for joining QuaBIS was to escape the boredom of the sheltered workshop. In the process of qualifying, I began to realise how many prejudices exist against disabled people and many other groups of people. Perhaps most special for me is the fact that the injustice of these conditions makes me angry. Unfortunately, our time at QuaBIS is short. Therefore, I realise that we cannot change the world. But I am sure that we can put a tiny crack in the glass plate of prejudice. And teeny tiny cracks are often enough.They get bigger and bigger and eventually it breaks. At first, I thought the issue was of almost no concern to anyone. In the meantime, however, I see that many people find the current conditions disgusting and are intensively engaged in changing them. For one thing, my sense of humour makes me unique. I believe that even annoying, even depressing things are much easier to bear if you add a pinch of humour to them. I also have a unique talent for exaggerating and often putting my foot in my mouth. Nevertheless, I can't help it, because I still think that's the only way I can make bad things and situations bearable. I also love to play with my daughter and wife. But my daughter Clara usually wins. She is simply too clever. In chess, for example, I don't stand a chance. But losing is also fun when you're together.
