What helps against school stress? TV magazine neuneinhalb at Dresden University School
Many students feel stressed by the pressure to perform at school. This is also reported by upper school students in Leipzig in the latest episode of the children's and youth magazine neuneinhalb. But what does that actually mean, and how does stress affect the body and mind? And what would a school with less pressure look like? The young people want longer periods of learning together with more enjoyment and a school that is more responsive to the needs of its students.

neuneinhalb reporter Jana visits the University School in Dresden, where children and young people learn according to a completely different concept. Student Lina and learning facilitator Pia take her along for a morning of learning and talk about what more co-determination but also responsibility means for them, and what role the teachers play.
Prof. Klaus Hurrelmann, youth, education, and health scientist at the Hertie School Berlin, attests to the exemplary nature of the joint school trial of the TUD Dresden University of Technology and the City of Dresden, because the Dresden University School “gives each individual student their own program. That is exemplary and truly future-oriented.”
The Leipzig schoolchildren conclude the program with tips on how to protect themselves from too much pressure.
