About us

The Institute of Art and Music is divided into the professorships for Visual studies and art history, Art History, Early Modern and Modern Art History, Art Education as well as the Junior Professorship in Empirical Musicology. 

The cooperation between the various subjects and the networking with art and cultural institutions from theory and practice already illustrate our interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary profile.

The existing facilities at the Institute offer space for research, teaching and study.
