Save the date: Verena Straub at the conference ‘Bildet Netze’ on 13 September.

To mark its 20th anniversary, http://netzpolitik.org is hosting a one-day conference under the motto "Bildet Netze". In addition to freedom rights on the internet, smart borders and digital colonialism, key issues include memes and their use as a venue for political conflicts.
Our colleague Verena Straub will report on her research at 2 pm and explain how wars are perpetuated in the digital space and which aesthetics, affordances and politics of social networks play a role in this.
