Susanne Witzgall
Susanne Witzgall holds a doctorate in art history. She teaches as a senior lecturer for transdisciplinary studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and founded the cx center for interdisciplinary studies in 2011. Her research interests include neo-materialist, affect-theoretical, decolonial and ecological discourses as well as the relationship between art and science. Her most recent publications include the books Hybride Ökologien (2019, ed. with M. Muhle, M. Kesting, J. Nachtigall) and Human after Man (2022, ed. with M. Kesting) and the essay "(De)Koloniales Grün. From Gardens of Segregation to Gardens of Reparation" (FKW, no. 76, 2025). Since 2019, she has been a member of the International Advisory Board of the Willem de Kooning Academy Research Center Rotterdam and a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Modern Art Nuremberg.
