Bachelor's programme Catholic Theological Studies in an Interdisciplinary Context
The aim of the Bachelor's programme Catholic Theological Studies in an Interdisciplinary Context is for students to be able to participate in the interdisciplinary dialogue and to acquire the basic theological knowledge as well as exemplary subject-specific competence that is increasingly in demand in the current social context. The programme thus creates both the basis for a later professional activity in the ecclesiastical or social-cultural environment as well as the necessary prerequisites for admission to a Master's programme. The study period is six semesters (three years). In addition to the core area of Catholic Theology, you can choose between the following supplementary areas: Philosophy, History, Humanities, English Studies, American Studies, German Studies, Latin Studies, Greek Studies, Romance Studies (French, Italian, Spanish), and Slavic Studies (Russian, Polish, Czech).
Prerequisites:
- General higher education entrance qualification
- Knowledge of two foreign languages, one of which is English
- Latinum (proven knowledge of Latin)
- Proven knowledge of Ancient Greek
Note: The Latinum and the knowledge in Ancient Greek can be acquired during the Bachelor' s programme.
