Scholarships & Funding
1. Erasmus Scholarships
Students going to Strasbourg, Tallinn or Prague might be able to receive an ERASMUS grant of about 330,00 €/month (Prague, Tallinn) or 450,00 €/month (Strasbourg) for the time they spend abroad. These Erasmus funded places are limited. The Erasmus grant is paid subject to the allocation of funds by the EU. Our students are regularly informed about Erasmus funding in January/February. Information about Erasmus funding can be found here. However, due to the nomination deadlines, funding is only possible if you have submitted your application by March 1 at the latest.
2. Scholarship of the Society for Friends and Sponsors of the TU Dresden (GFF)
The Society for Friends and Sponsors of TU Dresden (GFF) (e.V.) awards 5 scholarships on an annual basis. The scholarships are awarded to students in their second semester who have already achieved good academic results during their first semester. Unfortunately, students who have already received an Erasmus scholarship during their first semester cannot benefit from this funding.
3. Internship scholarships
The programs listed below offer scholarship opportunities for the duration of the internship. Please note, however, that in many cases a scholarship will only be granted if the duration of the internship exceeds the time required for the compulsory internship (4 weeks) within the program. Within the framework of the listed programs, funding and recognition as a compulsory internship is also possible if you complete the internship in an additional semester.
Our students have the possibility to participate in the STEP program of ELSA Germany. The STEP Traineeships is about already advertised positions which are published once a semester. The internships are mostly paid, the duration depends on the advertised position.

Erasmus+ supports internships abroad (work placements, practical semesters, etc.) for students currently enrolled at universities in program countries at bachelor and master level and for doctoral students. These opportunities are also open to university graduates. In this case, you must apply while you are still enrolled. You can complete your internship in the period of one year following the date of your degree. Students who have already received an Erasmus+ grant can also apply for the Erasmus+ traineeship. You can benefit several times from an exchange abroad with Erasmus+, either as a student or as a trainee, but your total time abroad (including periods of study abroad) must not exceed 12 months within a study cycle. |

Santander scholarships fro internships in Saxony
With the TUD - Santander Scholarships for Internships program, the TU Dresden and Santander would like to make a contribution to increasing the attractiveness of graduates in the humanities and social sciences to companies in Saxony. Sponsored internships in Saxon companies are intended to provide students with low-threshold access to the economy. The wide-ranging training of practice-related skills in the internships supports lateral entry opportunities in the Saxon economy.
