We welcome all of our new students who will begin their studies in the International Studies in Intellectual Property Law and Data Law program in the winter semester 2026/27 or continue at TUD while spending their previous semester abroad.
TUD-Information on the general academic year schedule can be found here (details on course times, start and end of the lecture period, as well as information on the start and end of the core examination period, lecture-free periods and holidays).
The introductory meeting will take place on 05 October 2026 at 09:20 am . Soon you will find the timetale for the induction week below, but have in mind that this is still subject to alterations. The location for the opening event is yet to be announced. ( CAMPUS NAVIGATOR.)
In the first week of lectures we offer introductory sessions on on how to use the learning portal OPAL, legal research, the offered seminars as well as European law as an essential prerequisite for further lectures during the semester. Of course, the first substantive events are not missing either. In addition, non-university events, like a city tour or a beergarden meeting are planned as well. Detailed information about the orientation week and the rest of the schedule can be found on the TU's internal online learning portal OPAL (ZIH-login necessary).
Please find also a sample of your weekly timetable but note that the schedule may vary individually on a weekly basis, occasionally, events also take place at times not marked here, especially on Mondays. You can find your exact weekly schedule which may vary from week to week on OPAL (TUD-Learning platform).
