Studying at TU Dresden

We are very pleased that you are interested in a study stay at our university. Here you can find some information on our Institute and our university. Please note that our institute offers mainly specific courses in the field of intellectual property, international law and technology law. Comprehensive contents of the German law curricular are not included in the courses offered by IRGET.

Erasmus-students
If you have been selected by your home university for an Erasmus study stay at TU Dresden, you have to enroll as a partial student in Dresden. You can register at the International Office of TU Dresden.
The deadlines for Erasmus applications are as follows:
- for summer semester (start of studies around April 1st) by January 15th
- for winter semester (start of studies around October 1st) by June 15th

Please note that many of the lectures in Dresden are held in German. Therefore, it is necessary for you to be able to prove a good command of the German language, i.e., at least B1 CEFR.
During the semester, free German courses are offered in which you can enroll at the beginning of the semester.

Language courses
Moreover, you can attend language courses from a wide range offered by TU Dresden. Course information on the language classes can be found here.
Exams
If you decide to take an exam in a course, you have to register for that. You can find the registration form here. Please note the deadline for exam registration.
Please do only register for an exam if you are sure to take it! This helps us to fill in your Transcript of Records properly.
Since our language school (TUDIAS) is not able to submit your exam results online, please hand in your original language certificates at the Erasmus office.
Housing in Dresden
