Handbook of Supplementary Areas (currently available in German only)
The Handbook of Supplementary Areas contains information on which modules, which courses and which examinations you have to take as part of the Supplementary Area Sociology.

Transition to the new Supplementary Area Sociology
Please note: Depending on you major and the time of your decision for the supplementary area Sociology, different module regulations apply to your supplementary area.
The transition to the new supplementary area Sociology took place for students of Political Science, History & Philosophy in winter semester 2016/17; of the Bachelor Media Research & Media Practice in winter semester 2017/18, of Sociology within the supplementary area Humanities in winter semester 2018/19. Students of Musicology continue to study the old supplementary area Sociology. Please have a look at the corresponding module descriptions in the Handbook of Supplementary Areas.
Information on courses in the supplementary area
An overview of the courses which have to be taken in Sociology according to the Handbook of Supplementary Areas can be found in OPAL, in the current semester overview of the courses offered by the Institute. Courses marked with EB (=Ergänzungsbereich =supplementary area) are open to students of the supplementary area Sociology. There, you will also find the appropriate examination numbers required to register for examinations.
