The main research areas of the Chair are as follows: International organizations & global governance, international institutions & norms, non-state actors, human rights policy, global social policy—particularly health policy, methodological procedures of language, text and discourse analysis.

Prof. Dr. Anna Holzscheiter holds the Chair of Political Science with a focus on International Politics. Together with her team, she offers a wide range of courses on international institutions, interdisciplinary debates and theories of international cooperation. Her research focuses, among others, on global health governance and the impact and change of international organisations.

The Chair’s team covers a broad spectrum: the topics taught range from international forms of cooperation to the causes of war and peace to terrorism.
