For a long time she wanted to become a journalist, then she almost entered a career as human rights expert at the United Nations but today she is Professor of Political Science with a focus on International Politics. In the interview with the German Society for Foreign Relations (DGAP), Prof. Dr. Anna Holzscheiter looks back on her career so far. She explains why she chose an academic carrer and where her interest in Global Health Politics steems from. She also talks about studying International Relations at the TU Dresden and gives insights into what she, as a member of the jury, attaches particular importance to in the selection process for the Carlo Schmid Fellowship, a scholarship program for young professionals in international organizations.
