Global Health Winter School 2023

In March 2023, the first Global Health Winter School will take place in Dresden. It will be organised by the Department of General Medicine at the Carl Gustav Carus Medical Faculty of the TU Dresden.

The content will include the impact of social determinants on health and well-being, the role of health systems in addressing global health issues and climate change, the impact of environmental factors and urbanisation on health, and pandemic response. Prof. Holzscheiter will lead workshops on global health policy issues.

The Winter School open not only for students of the health professions at the Faculty of Medicine, but also for students of political science, psychology, sociology and geography. It will take place during the lecture-free period from 6-10 March 2023, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Medical Faculty of TU Dresden. Thanks to the MeDDrive teaching funding, the Winter School can be offered free of charge. The event will be held in German and English.
