"Mechanisms of international politics. Experiences from practice", Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer as a guest at ZIS on July 1
How to reach common decisions internationally in sensitive areas such as defense. What significance do political science models have in practical policy-making? What mechanisms are at work in international politics?
In her lecture, Ms. Kramp-Karrenbauer will address these and other questions. After graduating with a Master's degree in law and political science, Ms. Kramp-Karrenbauer became politically active, representing the areas of home affairs, family, women, education and culture as Minister of Saarland between 2000 and 2011. From 2011 to 2018, she was Minister President of Saarland and between 2019 and 2021 Federal Minister of Defense. Since relinquishing her mandate after the 2021 federal elections and retiring from federal politics, Ms Kramp-Karrenbauer has remained involved both regionally and internationally. She is still Co-Chair of the International Leadership Council of the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).
