Can you eat politics? We say yes, if you serve beer or bratwurst with questions or statements on political topics. Stickers on glasses, flags in a (vegan) sausage, printed paper plates, cups or beer mats are suitable for this. You could also use the waiting time at the barbecue to talk to festival visitors about current local, socio-political and social issues. Prominent barbecuers, such as the mayor, could spice up this format even more.

Either way, with little preparation, you can create opportunities for discussion and spaces for encounters, exchange and reflection. We think that's a good thing because, as we all know, the way to the heart is through the stomach.
