With more than 1200 participants from 66 nations the Deutsche Orientalistentag (DOT) 2022 is one of the largest conferences on Middle East-related research and Middle Eastern Studies in Germany
At this year's DOT (12-17 Sept 22) Erik Vollmann presented and discussed his research on local governance reforms as discursive legitimation project in Morocco which links to political communication research and authoritarian studies. He also highlighted results from the DFG project Decentralization in the MENA in which he was an investigator.
