Lecture series "Right-wing populism, right-wing extremism and climate protection" in the summer semester
In the summer semester, the colloquium "Right-wing populism, right-wing extremism and climate protection. Current debates in research and practice", which offers insights from research as well as educational and advisory work. The scientific lectures not only analyse the denial of man-made climate change, but also the strategies used by far-right actors to mobilize in a targeted manner against specific climate policy measures - e.g. wind power, solar energy or e-mobility. We take a look at both the German and international context. In addition, practitioners will provide insights into the role of political education and mobile counseling in dealing critically with attempts by far-right actors to influence climate and environmental protection.
The colloquium is a cooperation between the Chair of Comparative Politics, the BMBF junior research group REXKLIMA and the Kulturbüro Sachsen. It offers participants the opportunity to get to know research at first hand based on current topics and also to talk to the speakers.
