Our Project Idea

Technische Universität Dresden, Institute of Political Science, Univerzita J.E. Purkyné Usti nad Labem, Katedra politologie, Euroregion Elbe/Labe, and Aktion Zivilcourage e.V., Pirna are cooperating in a Czech-German model project on the promotion of democracy and civil courage.

Project CouReg targets young people in the Saxon and Bohemian borderlands. Our goal is to strengthen and develop democratic potential. Specifically, educational modules with teaching materials 1) for pupils and 2) for students on the topic of civil courage and civic engagement are being developed. Our project aims to train these skills and thus develop intercultural and democratic competences among the young generation between 14 and 25 years of age.

Cooperation Programme for the Promotion of Cross-border Cooperation between the Free State of Saxony and the Czech Republic 2014-2020. This project is funded by the European Union in the European Regional Development Fund.
