Digital Early Career Research Symposium (DAAD)

The DAAD Regional Office New Delhi in cooperation with the Max Weber Forum for South Asian Studies and ICAS:MP Metamorphosis of the Political, New Delhi cordially invites you to attend the Digital ‘Early Career Research Symposium’ on the theme of Cross-Border Mobility to be held online from 15 – 17 July 2024. 

The symposium offers you a unique opportunity to gain new insights into research within the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, follow interesting discussions by renowned scholars and engage in Q&A sessions with fellow researchers. 

The symposium will open with inputs by the experts/chairs followed by thematic sessions in which early career researchers from the fields of social sciences and humanities will present their academic contribution/presentation to the theme of Cross-Border Mobility with focus on research topics of Refugees and Irregular Migration, Law and Migration, Narratives of Migration, Migration and Education, and Labour Migration within the contexts of India, South Asia, Germany, and Europe. The symposium will conclude with the panel discussion (organised jointly with DWIH, India) wherein high-ranking researchers from India and Germany will jointly examine the intersecting dynamics of cross-border mobility and provide an interdisciplinary outlook on the theme.
