Virtual Guest Lecture "Contemporary Popular Culture and the Manifesto: Gaga Manifestos"

The DFG project team gives a virtual guest lecture in Professor Galia Yanoshevsky's seminar on Avant-Garde Manifestos at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan. The topic, "Contemporary Popular Culture and the Manifesto: Gaga Manifestos," leads to a lively discussion with students about the three manifestos written by or about pop star Lady Gaga: Lady Gaga's "Manifesto of Chromatica" (2020) and "Manifesto of Mother Monster" (2011) and Jack Halberstam's "Gaga Manifesto," published in his book Gaga Feminism: Sex, Gender, and the End of Normal (2012).
