What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent). The use and consent to the associated processing of your personal data are voluntary.
What personal data is processed?
Only your email address will be processed for sending the newsletter.
How long is personal data stored?
Your email address will be processed until revoked. This will not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent until revocation.
If personal data is transferred to recipients, who at TU Dresden has access to this data and is data collected from third parties?
An external processor will store the email address. This processor has been contractually verified and bound according to Art. 28 GDPR. Unless otherwise stipulated by law or you have expressly consented in individual cases, no personal data will be transferred to third parties.
What are the basic rights of data subjects?
- Voluntariness and withdrawal according to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR
The provision of personal data is voluntary. Consent to the processing of personal data may be withdrawn at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR with the consequence that the personal data of the person concerned will not be further processed. - Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
Data subjects have the right to request information about the data processed about them and the possible recipients of this data at any time. They are entitled to a response within a period of one month after receipt of the request for information. - Right to rectification, erasure and restriction (Art. 16–18 GDPR)
The data subjects may at any time request that TU Dresden correct, erase or restrict the processing of their personal data. - Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
Data subjects may request that the controller provide them with their personal data in a machine-readable format. Alternatively, they may request the direct transfer of the personal data provided by them to another responsible person where this is possible. - Right of appeal (Art. 77 GDPR)
