A journey to “Auspicious Arabia” – A literary experience for the senses at TU Dresden’s Botanical Garden
When the fascinating worlds of scent and literature collide, it quickly becomes clear that scents can be described in creative ways that can even appeal more strongly to our memories than our sense of sight. Mario Baumann (Junior Professor for Classical Culture/Greek Literature at TU Dresden) will tell us more about this topic at the “Meet the luminaries under the conifer” event on Sunday, September 3, at 3:30 pm. During his talk, which will be held in German, he will take visitors of the Botanical Garden on an olfactory journey – to the “Auspicious Arabia” of 2,000 years ago. Admission is free.
