Your studies of linguistics and history of German language

In Dresden, you can study various subject courses as well as German for all types of schools. We pay special attention to digitization in the humanities. This does not merely mean that we are committed to digitizing data or making digital content available for teaching, but that we implement the following principles in teaching: Collaboration with the help of all technical possibilities (Bring Your Own Device) as well as transparency and openness of research data and results (Open Access, Open Educational Resources).

Study of linguistics and language history of German

In Dresden, you will study the subject German or German Studies in the specialized study program at the faculty "Language, Literature and Cultural Studies" (SLK). It is important to us to interest you in the questions of research interested in linguistic knowledge and to provide you with basic skills and competences not only for your own research, but also and especially for your later teaching activities.
