On the one hand, it researches and reconstructs these processes, on the other hand it takes a theoretical stance on questions of norms and, finally, it designs concrete teaching-learning processes on this basis.
German didactics focuses on the subject matter, the learners, the teachers and the specific teaching situation. The networking of different disciplinary perspectives of linguistics and literary studies, pedagogy, psychology and sociology is fundamental to this.
