Professorship of Modern German Literature and Didactics of German Language and Literature

At the Chair of Modern German Literature and Didactics of German Language and Literature, we deal with processes of acquisition, appropriation and the teaching of skills in dealing with language and literature.

Our work focuses on researching and reconstructing these processes and designing specific teaching and learning processes based on these didactic findings.

In doing so, we focus on the subject matter, the learners, the teachers and the specific teaching situation. The networking of different disciplinary perspectives from linguistics and literary studies, pedagogy, psychology and sociology is fundamental to this.
