Lecture: The History of Emotions

The "International Seminar" is a new event format at the Institute of Classical Philology: international scholars come to Dresden and offer an English-language programme specifically for students, consisting of a lecture and a seminar session—the perfect opportunity to gain an insight into current and interesting research topics in a didactic way and also to strengthen your own English language skills. For the summer semester 2024, we have been able to attract Douglas Cairns from the University of Edinburgh, who will provide an insight into historical emotion research—a much-discussed and exciting field in which historical, literary and cognitive science aspects come together.

All students are welcome, regardless of their study programme or number of semesters!
