E-learning at the LSK
The E-Learning working group at the Multimedia Language Learning Center (MSZ) focuses on applied research in the fields of foreign language didactics, autonomous language acquisition, CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) and MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning). Since 2001, extensive multimedia teaching and learning materials for foreign language acquisition and intercultural learning have been developed for various learning contexts (autonomous learning, regular language teaching, blended learning) and in various formats (multimedia learning modules, entire e-learning courses, Reusable Learning Objects RLO). Our focus languages are Slavic languages (Czech, Polish, Slovakian, Sorbian) and German as a foreign language.
Another focal point is further training for practicing language teachers: in face-to-face workshops or in online courses lasting several weeks, language teachers acquire knowledge and skills for e-learning. In the past, online teacher training courses in German, English, Czech and Polish, for example, have been designed and run and have proved very popular.
Since 2001, numerous national and international projects have been planned and implemented, both as coordinator of national and international joint projects and as a partner of project consortia, e.g. in the EU programs Lifelong Learning (2007 - 2013), ERASMUS+ (2013 - 2020), Ziel3-CIL3 (2007 - 2013), SN-CZ (2020-2022), SN-PL (2007 - 2013), in BMBF programs or in state programs (AK E-Learning Sachesen or as state funding of the Foundation for the Sorbian People).
