Language workshop - Fit for university life
A new peer-to-peer support service for international students
- The Language Workshop can help with language challenges you may face in everyday university life. It is practical, interactive and takes place in a relaxed atmosphere.
- During the semester: Wednesdays, 3 - 5 p.m.
- Seminar building 1, Room SE1-217
For each session, the tutors will prepare a specific language topic based on your everyday study needs.
You are welcome to bring your own questions and topics - whether they are linguistic or university-related.

Our aim
We want to empower international students to
- communicate confidently and self-assuredly in German
- differentiate between and use formal and informal forms of communication
- prepare presentations and speeches in seminars linguistically
- practise typical conversational situations at the university
- overcome linguistic hurdles when applying for jobs or dealing with university formalities
- integrate better linguistically both in their studies and in everyday social life
The focus is on playfully practicing real situations from everyday university and professional life. Together we train typical communication situations and develop your oral skills in a targeted manner.
Supported by the DAAD
The language workshop is funded by the DAAD as part of the FIT:TER program.
