Tandem & Language Café

Do you want to get in touch with people who speak your target language as their native language (or second language) in a relaxed and informal atmosphere?  Then you have the opportunity to visit our Language Cafés at the MSZ and/or to find a tandem partner for your target language. The focus lies on conversation in both cases - both linguistic as well as cultural exchange is authentic and completely controlled by the participants themselves in the case of tandem learning, and somewhat guided by tutors in the case of the Language Café.

The Language Cafés take place fortnightly during the lecture period with a focus on certain languages (e.g. Slavic languages, Romance languages). You can find information and the registration for the Language Café HERE.

In the Language Tandem, the native language of one is the foreign language of the other. The MSZ arranges tandem learning partnerships during lecture periods. Requests for a tandem partner always refer to the current semester, therefore the search form must be filled out anew each semester. During a first meeting at the MSZ, the tandem partners get to know each other and receive advice from our tutors with guidance and tips for effective language learning.
