New Release: "(Multi)national Faces of Socialist Realism — Beyond the Russian Literary Canon". Slavic Review. Winter 2022.

The new issue of the journal "Slavic Review" was published in Cambridge University Press. This special issue is one of the most important and competitive journals for international Eastern European Studies that was edited by Prof. Dr. Klavdia Smola and Prof. Evgeny Dobrenko (Ca' Foscari University of Venice).

About the special issue

It is a jubilee edition - 100 years since the founding of the Soviet Union in 1922 - which critically analyzes the legacy of multinational Soviet literature as an imperial construct and examines the contradictory processes of adapting multiethnic literatures to the Russian-Soviet canon.
