1. Placement
A placement test is obligatory if you have prior knowledge of Italian. For language learning seminars at the Institute of Romance Studies please contact Ms Simona Bellini (Italian teacher at the Institute) before the classes start. In the week before the start of the winter semester she conducts a placement test. The next placement test will be held on 7 October 2016, from 2:30-6:00 pm (location: BSS/E41). Advance registration is not necessary.For language courses at the Languages and Cultures Teaching Centre (LSK), you must do an online placement test. You can find out more on the TUDIAS pages.
2. Module allocation
For the elective module in Italian, EuroS students may attend the language learning seminars at the Institute of Romance Studies. In addition, courses at the Languages and Cultures Teaching Centre (LSK) can be used for the Waystage II and Threshold I (CEFR A2 and B1) modules.
The language course attendance requirement for each module is 4 hours per week for one semester (4 SWS), either as a double course (e.g. Italian Language Tutorial I) or as two separate courses. Please note that if two separate courses are taken, only one of the two examinations (oral or written) can be taken.
