Project Objectives
The project aims to strengthen Ukrainian higher education institutions through cooperation and knowledge exchange with European universities. By fostering innovation, inclusiveness, and diversity in education, the project supports the development of digital media literacy among students, educators, and the wider Ukrainian community. What will the project TeDiMeLi focus on:
-
It will create and operationalize interconnected Digital Media Literacy Centres (DMLCs) at four Ukrainian universities. Built on an international and interdisciplinary university network, these centres will serve as hubs for education, research, innovation, and community engagement in digital media literacy.
-
It will disseminate project results, methodologies, and best practices across Ukrainian higher education institutions and beyond, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the DMLCs and continuous promotion of digital media literacy in the context of current social and political challenges.
-
It will develop a comprehensive set of innovative teaching and training materials for digital media literacy, tailored to the needs of different target groups, purposes, and learning formats.
-
It will design and operationalize modern Digital Educational Platforms for the DMLCs, using advanced digital technologies and innovative teaching approaches to support flexible and accessible learning.
-
It will pilot all developed courses and training materials, and ensure their systematic delivery through structured training programmes in various formats for all target groups.
-
It will ensure quality assurance of all developed courses and materials, as well as support the long-term effectiveness and sustainability of the project results.
Project Impact
The project will directly improve the digital skills of students, educators, university staff, and members of society. Around 800 students, 200 educators, 200 participants from the wider public, and 40 university administrators will take part in training activities and gain practical experience with digital tools and media literacy.
Digital media literacy courses will become part of regular university study programmes. This transformation will contribute to the overall informational resilience of the Ukrainian society. This will strengthen critical thinking skills and improve society’s ability to respond to misinformation and digital challenges.
The project will support the long-term digital transformation of Ukrainian higher education. Universities will become leaders in digital media literacy education and will actively share knowledge with society. The results will contribute to the development of national approaches to digital education and support alignment with European education standards. This will strengthen the overall quality and competitiveness of Ukrainian higher education. Beyond academia, wider access to media literacy education will help build a more informed, resilient, and engaged society. In the long run, the project will contribute to stronger democratic values, better social cohesion, and the development of a new generation of digitally skilled professionals and leaders.
