Exam registration
Examinations in the winter semester 2024/25
You must register for your examinations (including all foreign language courses) via Selma. Here you will find instructions on how to use Selma.
The online exam registration for the winter semester 2024/25 has been open since 01 October 2024. You can and must register for all examinations up to the following dates:
Combined term papers and Komplex Assignments - 01 November 2024
Exception: The combined term paper in the seminar “Current Issues in Copyright Law II” with Ms. Lauber-Rönsberg can be registered until 31.01.2025.
Written exams and portfolios – 31 December 2024
Internship IP Law & Data Law | Fundamentals of Research
You cannot register for the compulsory modules Internship IP Law & Data Law and Fundamentals of Research via Selma. You are automatically registered for Fundamentals of Research when you register for the Master's thesis. I will register you for the Internship IP Law & Data Law module as soon as you have submitted the internship report to the responsible examiner and I have received the grade report.
Registration for non-compulsory modules
If you have already registered for the number of modules required for your degree, you cannot register for further modules in Selma. You will then receive an error message in the system. You can of course register for further modules, but they must be registered by me in the Examination Office:
Please send me an e-mail (pa.phf-slk@mailbox.tu-dresden.de) and tell me the module and examiner for which you would like to register additionally. At the end of your studies, you must decide which modules are to be included in the calculation of your overall grade.
Deregistration/withdrawal from examinations
Examinations that have not yet been taken can be easily deregistered via Selma until the end of the registration period.
After that, any registered examination can be deregistered by decision of the Examination Committee up to three working days before the actual examination date. However, this is only possible for written and oral examinations via Selma; for all other examinations, there is a form on which the examiner must confirm the agreed examination date.
Withdrawal from an examination up to 3 days prior
If you fall ill for an examination and the 3-day deadline for deregistration has already passed, please submit an application for withdrawal to the Examination Committee immediately (i.e. without culpable delay) (informally for written work such as seminar papers etc., by form for examinations with a deadline such as written examinations, oral examinations etc.) and enclose the completed original medical certificate. Please send both documents by post to the Examination Office. Address: TU Dresden, Directorate GSW, International Office, Examination Office, Helmholtzstraße 10, 01069 Dresden. Alternatively, you can also drop the documents in the TU Dresden's deadline mailbox or in the mailbox opposite the Examination Office door.
